The Finnish Institute is looking for an intern!

Please note: This role has a Finnish language requirement 

The Finnish Institute welcomes applications from students or recent graduates of arts and cultural production and management. The placement, within the Finnish Institute’s Arts & Culture programme, will take place between 1.1.–30.6.2021. 

Through this placement, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Participate in the organisation and production of a major international arts project
  • Play a central role in organising the programme to celebrate the Institute’s 30th birthday
  • Coordinate the TelepART mobility support scheme

Criteria for applicants

This internship has a considerable emphasis on cultural and events production and management, so any educational or relevant experience is a significant advantage. We’re looking for candidates who: 

  • Have been involved in events organisation professionally, on a voluntary basis or through hobbies
  • Are students of / have studied arts and cultural management or production
  • Are fluent in both Finnish and English, and can communicate comfortably in writing using both

Further advantages: 

  • An interest in Finnish contemporary culture, design and art
  • Experience of events promotion 
  • Previous international experience

Work at the Institute is often fast-paced and requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure. We appreciate a proactive and organised approach, teamwork and flexibility.
