10 November 2022 –8 January 2023: Southbank’s Winter Light features work by EGS

Winter Light is a free, open-air exhibition that enlivens Southbank Centre’s iconic buildings and Riverside Walk with thought-provoking artworks during the darkest months of the year. It will run from 10th November 2022 to 8th January 2023.

At a time when we view so much of the world through digital screens, this exhibition celebrates how the medium of light can transform our physical spaces. The show presents a selection of remarkable artworks from a range of international artists who harness this unique medium in their work. More information about the pieces can be found on here.

Artworks will pop up across Southbank Centre throughout the Winter months and will include a commission by internationally renowned Finnish graffiti artist EGS, whose piece ‘Winter Letters’ brings together the craft of glassblowing and the medium of light to create a striking and unforgettable sculpture.
