DATES: 5 to 6 months starting June 2019.
YOUR TASKS: As our media/PR intern your role is to support the Institute’s communications and media efforts. This means for example:
Updating the Institute’s WordPress-website
Creating content and spreading it through our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
Writing press releases in Finnish and English
Compiling reports on social media and web analytics
Assisting in the management of the Institute’s events and general office routines.
YOUR PROFILE:
A team player with can do -attitude
Study background in eg. communications, journalism, English translation or English philology
Excellent writing skills
Good command of both Finnish and English
Some experience in the field of eg. communications, journalism, community management, PR or marketing through work experience or freetime activities
Curious mind and wide interest in the world and society
Multi-tasking and prioritising skills

FUNDING: The selected intern must be able to secure funding for the internship. Previous interns have secured funding for example through their universities, the Erasmus programme or the Finnish employment office (työelämävalmennus). The Institute is unable to accept interns without a source of funding. The Institute will, however, support the internship by supplying a monthly travel card for Transport for London (zones 1–2).
