The Lakes International Comic Art Festival will be held in Bowness-on-Windermere, within the heart of the Lake District National Park, for its 10th anniversary year from October 14–16th 2022. The events live draws, interviews, presentations, workshops, exhibitions, and book launches.

One of the events is Comics in the Sauna at the Windermere Jetty Museum. The event brings you four Finns in a sauna – with guest appearances by Finnophiles Oliver East and the fabulous McGarry brothers. The sauna in question is none other than our The Finnish Sauna built as part of the London Festival of Architecture this summer! The sessions are open to pass holders on a first come, first served basis. Towels will be provided, the sessions last 10–15 minutes, and take place according to the following schedule:

Saturday 15 October
11am Petteri Tikkanen appearing as Black Peider
3pm Kalle Hakkola
4pm Joe & Luke McGarry

Sunday 16 October
Noon Oliver East
2pm Ulla Donner

Outside of these event times the sauna is available for general use by passholders on the hour and half past the hour from 10am–5pm Saturday and Sunday. Please bring your own towels!
