Chamber Choir cc FREIA performing at UK’s first ever Choral Conducting Competition

It’s going to be an exciting weekend for Londoners who love choral music! UK’s first ever Choral Conducting Competition is held at the Royal Academy of Music this weekend. The Finnish chamber choir cc FREIA is the only international choir invited to perform at the event.

Cc FREIA will perform alongside with London-based chamber choirs Coro and Chantage at the Gala Concert on Saturday. On Sunday the Competition Grand Final gathers the finest choral conductors, from Britain and abroad, to compete against each other. Coro, Chantage and FREIA have also prepared a choral spectacle for the audience.

The Chamber Choir cc FREIA was founded by internationally known composer and choir conductor Jaakko Mäntyjärvi in 2015. The group consists of highly experienced choral singers.

Finnish Institute in London has supported the trip to London via TelepArt funding.
