4/6 – European Writers share their stories

European Writers 2019 is a tour that takes place in London and around the country throughout the year. Stories from Europe brings together four interesting writers from across the continent. Spanish author Javier Cercas, Danish author Christina Hesselholdt, Finnish-Kosovan author Pajtim Statovci and Swedish author Lina Wolff share their experiences and stories at Norwich’s Dragon Hall, thus offering a different view to identity and history in a diverse, ever-changing Europe.

Pajtim Statovci’s debut novel, My Cat Yugoslavia, was published in English in 2017 and received international acclaim. The author’s second novel, Crossing, was published in English in 2019 and has been applauded by the likes of The Guardian for “finding new ways of bringing the question of who belongs, and who is cast out, to an exquisitely painful point”.

Stories from Europe, National Centre for Writing, Dragon Hall, 115-123 King Street, Norwich, NR1 1QE, https://nationalcentreforwriting.org.uk/spektrix/event-detail/?WebEventId=storiesfromeurope, 4 June 2019, 7.30pm – 9.30pm, tickets: £5.
