25/10 Seminar: How schools can prevent radicalisation?

How school and teacher education contributes to creating or ameliorating societal tensions that for some young people may lead to the development of extremist worldviews? A multi-disciplinary seminar about young people’s values and worldviews constructions will be held in Oxford. A bilateral Finland-UK seminar will look into the role of education in addressing societal polarization. 

The seminar is funded by the Finnish Institute in London. It is part of the Academy of Finland’s research project ‘Growing up radical? The role of educational institutions in guiding young people’s worldview construction’.

Education Rooms G/H, followed by a reception at Harris Manchester College. The seminar is open and free of charge, however the number of seats is limited.
