18.–19.5. European Writers’ Festival 2: Transformation

18.–19.5. European Writers’ Festival 2: Transformation

The second edition of the European Writers’ Festival will bring together many of Europe’s greatest storytellers at the British Library on 18–19 May 2024. This year’s theme being transformation, the programme will feature performances and discussions on literature from the writers’ home countries and today’s Europe.

30 established and emerging writers will respond to this year’s theme Transformation, because change, and the challenges of the fast and furious changes in society, politics, climate, identity, technology, science, the arts, health, language, humour and human rights, rocks our lives. As we in Europe are again shaken to the core by war and division, the European Writers’ Festival hopes to demonstrate that community, debate, entertainment and storytelling can unite us in creating hope and positive transformation.

The festival is organised by EUNIC London in collaboration with the European Literature Network and the British Library. The festival is also supported by the EU Delegation to the UK and the European Parliament Liaison Office in the UK.

European Writers’ Festival 2: Transformation 18–19 May at the British Library (96 Euston Rd., London NW1 2DB). Full programme and tickets via British Library’s website.
