New podcast shares ideas and peer support for people working with migrants

What is secondary trauma and how can you avoid it? What can migrants bring to local businesses and startups? How can technology help people find their place in a new home country?

These are some of the issues that will be discussed in Working with Migrants -podcast. In the series practitioners from the UK and Finland will share their experiences and best practices. Interviewees include some of the best experts in the field, such as Maurice Wren, chief executive of the Refugee Council UK and Jussi Lehtonen, artistic director of Finnish National Theatre’s touring stage.

The producer of the series, London-based community artist Arjunan Manuelpillai has worked with migrant communities for over 10 years in a range of different settings. The series is produced by The Finnish Institute in London. The idea came while the institute helped The Finnish National Theatre in background research for the documentary theatre piece Undocumented Love.
