11/9 – 15/10 Tiitu Takalo and Kaisa Leka posters take over metro stops in Manchester

Graphic Encounters is a project that explores the lives of four women experiencing challenges with health and wellbeing. Their experiences are revealed through captivating illustrated narratives located in poster-sites across Greater Manchester’s Metrolink network. The posters are made by Finnish artists, Kaisa Leka and Tiitu Takalo, and British artists Jamie Squire and Una.

The posters are part of SICK! Festival, which explores themes of mental and physical health through arts. Graphic Encounters was funded by The Finnish Institute in London and developed with Manchester Metropolitan University and the LGBT Foundation.

Graphic Encounters, SICK! Festival, Metrolink stations across Greater Manchester, http://www.sickfestival.com/events/graphic-encounters-event/, 11th September – 15th October, free admission
