Open Call 2020: Tom Of Finland

Open Call 2020: Tom Of Finland

The Finnish Institute is looking for programme proposals.

In 2020 we celebrate the 100th birthday of the graphic artist Touko Laaksonen, better known as Tom Of Finland. Tom of Finland has had a great impact on popular culture, for instance fashion, photography and music. We are now looking for artistic and societal projects that deal with the legacy of his work. The proposal/applicant must have a clear link to Finland.

The projects are to be realised during 2020 in Britain or Ireland. We will support selected projects up to maximum 10,000€. Existing bilateral partnerships and projects that can be realised in several locations will be considered a plus.

Proposals should be sent by 4pm UK time 7.1.2020 to applications@fininst.uk, with the heading OPEN CALL 2020. Please note that we accept applications by email only.

Proposals (in English) should be maximum two pages, including summary of the budget, existing funding, timetable and possible partners in Finland and the UK and/or Republic of Ireland.

If you have questions, please send them by email by 18.12.2019 to Head of Arts and Culture Jaakko Nousiainen (jaakko.nousiainen@fininst.uk) or Head of Society and Culture Ninni Lehtniemi (ninni.lehtniemi@fininst.uk).
