Feminist Swearing Night in Brighton

Feminist Swearing Night in Brighton

Do you feel like society isn’t exactly what it should be? Are you tired or pissed off with certain aspects of it? Do you just feel like cursing and smashing the patriarchy?

There’s no better way to celebrate 100 years of women’s suffrage in the UK than Feminist Swearing Night! Which is an opportunity to sound off about the patriarchy, politics, inequality and injustice through stand-up comedy, rhyme, song, swearing, ranting or any other means of expression. The floor is yours!

The event will be moderated by the founders of Finnish  Feminist Think Tank Hattu’s unshakeable feminists Rosa Meriläinen, Saara Särmä and Johanna Vehkoo. They will be joined by Brighton’s own Bryony No and Katherine Atkinson, Ruth Sullivan and other special guests.

Profits from the ticket sales go to Brighton Women’s Centre, which has been supporting women from the 1970’s.

Previously Feminist Swearing Nights have been a great success in Ireland, Belgium and Finland.
